So, you think you're smart?

I see you have the wit to actually find the "real" about me page, eh? Well, I guess you do deserve a little something... Here's a biography of myself

My Biography

I was born into a broken home, my mother was absent and my father was abusive. When I was a young boy I became excited at the idea of winning a puzzle contest at school. To increase my likelihood of winning I snuck into school during the night and practiced the puzzle until I was able to solve it with ease. I end up winning and I'm awarded a riddle book. Since that time I have mastered puzzles, mindgames and riddles. I was profoundly intelligent and could pass tests with apparent ease, something my father out of jealousy couldn't or wouldn't believe, and therefore attributed my success to cheating (since he me caught me once) and beat me repeatedly so I wouldn't lie and stay out of trouble. Out of the abuse I developed a compulsion I have apparently become known for, I constantly endeavor to tell the truth to prove my innocence. This is where my obsession with riddles came from. Unfortunately the abuse is also a main factor that drove me to a life of crime.

When I got older I left home and became a carnival performer, using my skills to cheat carnival goers out of their money. But this was not enough for me, I longed for something more, and became the Riddler and picked The Batman, as my adversary, as I believe him to be intelligent and more then worthy opponent.

Starting out as a simple informant and criminal profiler for the underworld of Gotham, as well as for Batman. I slowly became more of a villain to Batman. It wasn't long before I became a main adversary to the Caped Crusader, constantly testing his analytical abilities to the limits.

I was eventually diagnosed with caner, and being the clever man that I was I found one of the secret Lazarus Pit's of fellow Batman villain Ra's al Ghul, where I cures myself of the fatal disease. It was during the time that I was suffering with brain cancer, under the alias Arthur Wynne, that I came across Dr. Thomas Elliot, who would one day become the criminal Hush. When Dr. Elliott saw how I had made Such a fast recovery, I offered the knowledge to Elliott for a price, if he wanted to save his dying mother. Elliot preferred not to take the me up in my offer so that he could gain his mothers money upon her death. Me and Elliott decided to destroy Batman. I had developed a complex plan involving the manipulation of many of Batman's rogues such as: Joker, Clayface, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Ra's al Ghul, Lady Shiva, and Talia al Ghul. I even involved the irresistibly gullible Superman in the scheme. The Gambit was as dangerous for Batman as it was for the me, but on the plus side it allowed me to solve the greatest riddle of all: that Bruce Wayne is Batman. With the Information I tortured Batman with the memory of Jason Todd, the second Robin. I had Clayface take the form of Jason and torment Batman in reality. Later Jason's body was found stolen from his grave, Batman was sure it was me. Only to find that Jason was alive the entire time.

When Batman found out my plot and realized I knew his secret identity, the only way to ensure my silence was to match wits with me. He explained that I could never tell anyone he was Bruce Wayne, to do so go against everything I stood for, I of course couldn't except that. Batman also threatened that to do so would reveal that I knew where Ra's al Ghul's Lazarus pits were and I would meet an end at the hands of the League of Assassins.

Later, Elliott reappeared and brutally beat the me. Seeking refuge I went to the Joker and the Penguin. I tried to bargain with the Joker for asylum and he agrees but eventually his safety is compromised and he is forced to go on the run again. I asked Poison Ivy for asylum both of whom remembered my manipulation and the meeting didn't go well. At a lose I went into a downward spiral of insanity and became homeless. I eventually was found by a ex-NASA decoder who helped me recover my mind. It was during that time that I had an induced flashback about my childhood, and I came to the realization of what happened when I was abused and why. I also deduced the reason behind why I had the compulsion I had for riddles.

Using my vast fortune, acquired over many years of crime, I got minor plastic surgery and extensive tattooing. I covered the majority of my torso with my trademark question mark insignia. I killed the Codebreaker, who had discovered my secret identity. On top of that, I stole a priceless scroll, before Batman could get to it. It was at this time that I starting amassing a huge fortune legally and attacking various heroes to prove my abilities.

During this time I had a run in with Green Arrow, Arsenal and the Outsiders. I was up for revenge against my defeat by the Green Arrow and I brutally injured and almost killed the the two archers. If not for the timely arrival of the Outsiders they would have been killed. Before these I was hired to steal artifacts imbued with mystical powers from one of Star City's museums, and then distract the authorities so that the related rituals could be commenced. I sent Team Arrow on a wild goose chase around the City, and then I revealed that I had an atomic bomb housed in the stadium where the Star City Rockets play. However, as a side effect of the ritual performed with the artifacts, the city was plunged into complete darkness, and Green Arrow uses this to his advantage, to capture me.

I was with a group of villains attacking the Gotham City Police Department. I later escaped from Arkham Asylum after a worldwide breakout by the Secret Society of Supervillians. I then was along with the Society when we attack Metropolis. I was defeated by the Shining Knight and was struck in the head by the Knight's mace.

I was sent into a coma when I was hit in the head by the Shining Knight's mace. I awoke a year later, without my obsessive compulsive fixation for riddles but still possessed my great intellect and enormous ego. I also suffered from memory loss forgetting even my own name for a while and not remembering that Bruce Wayne is Batman, but I was suspicious. I was reformed and then became a private investigator at which I legally developed even more of a fortune. I was finally on the right side of the law using my great talents for the good of the people.

I even became involved in a ship bound murder mystery alongside Batman, while deducing a part of the mystery, Batman deduces the real reason. In the end we both did our part in solving the crime and have become hostile allies. I was then hired by Bruce Wayne to find a experimental drug stolen from Wayne Enterprises. In the end with the help of a reformed Harley Quinn I got the drug back and returned it to the rightful owners.

In a run in with Mary Marvel I described to her how I was reformed, we then joined forces against Clayface, where I got to see up front how twisted and cruel she had become with a great power. I suggested that she should get a mentor or some anger management.

Even Nightwing hired me to find out who was behind a recent string of museum robberies. Whom I later saved from gang warfare while I investigated Penguin's involvement in organized crime. I later deduced that Nightwing is Dick Grayson.

Well, that's just about it,

Farwell
